Stunning!I'm glad to hear it isn't quite so complex a knit as it looks:-)And even better that I only need 100gms of laceweight! Thanks so much for letting me know. I hadn't started it as I thought it would take too long with my christmas list ever growing but now I can re-instate it in my immediate queue:-))I'm dying to try it out and think I will dye some yarn especially!Elainehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02309075890584731845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8137043855524820338.post-45366886854370591572009-10-10T08:41:56.289+01:002009-10-10T08:41:56.289+01:00Hi - I've stumbled here from another blog (can...Hi - I've stumbled here from another blog (can't remember which one) and really love all of your work, especially your gorgeous dyeing!

Anyhow, I saw what you wrote about the Pretty as a Peacock shawl - I did the original test knit (I knit the one pictured) and it was done in louet gems sportweight yarn, hence the massive yardage.

I've since knit two more, one in jaggerspun zephyr and one in madeleine tosh silk lace - the silk lace one takes less than one 100g skein (so less than 1000m). And, suprisingly, since it looks so complicated; it isn't a very difficult or long knit.

Anyway, thats enough of that. I'm going back to your archives to look at more beautiful knitting and dyeing!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06562287637130603845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8137043855524820338.post-28773878862125501812009-09-03T19:53:14.637+01:002009-09-03T19:53:14.637+01:00I would love to have enough of that yarn to make o...I would love to have enough of that yarn to make one of Brooklyn knits beautiful round blankets/table cloths.

It would be beautiful!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03379707955978264473noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8137043855524820338.post-15421365875100899782009-09-03T18:31:23.288+01:002009-09-03T18:31:23.288+01:00I think this would be a very pretty color for some...I think this would be a very pretty color for some hair pieces. maybe a snood, kerchief light hat, matching fingerless gloves or something of that nature.GsCraftsNthingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04969423281889516121noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8137043855524820338.post-38918762908287399262009-09-03T16:29:35.777+01:002009-09-03T16:29:35.777+01:00I think a cowl in a ripple pattern that would rese...I think a cowl in a ripple pattern that would resemble waves.
